H&S - How to Complete and Submit Checklists

1. Log in to Better Compliance and select Health and Safety



2. Once you've access your venue, go to the Home Page and Select Checklists. Alternatively, select "Checklists" in your menu bar. 



3. After selecting "Checklists," you'll be taken to a list of all the checklists created for your venue. 



4. Start your checklist by clicking on the + Add Checklist button. For this example, we’ve selected the Pest Control Checklist.  

5. You’ll be taken to the checklist for completion. At this stage, the different areas within your venue that need to be checked will be highlighted in red, indicating that they haven’t been completed yet. 



6. Completing a Checklist Section:

  • Click on the section you want to complete.

  • The questions are designed specifically by your Managers to capture key information.

  • In general ALL questions are to be completed, otherwise the Checklist will not be saved.

  • If an answer indicates that remedial action is needed, you’ll be prompted to add additional information.

  • You can:

    • Upload multiple images as evidence (example below)

    • Add notes to provide context or additional details (example below)



7. Your completed section will appear in GREEN indicating that all the questions were answered and this section has been completed. 



8. On the front end of the Checklists section, you’ll be able to see the completion status - this includes which checklists have been completed, the current progress of each one, and the name of the user who completed it.  



9.The team can also view the Progress report from the Home Page. 


10. You can return to complete a checklist by clicking on the + Add Checklist button or using the hamburger menu in the progress bar within the Checklist section. 


11. Once all sections of your checklist have been completed, you will receive a notification, and all areas will be marked in green to indicate completion. 



12. Back on the Home Page, you’ll be able to see the overall completion status. This will also be reflected in the Checklist section. 




13. By clicking the hamburger menu in the Checklist section under Today’s Checklists, you’ll have the option to save or print a report

  • The report will include all completed information and any uploaded images.
  • All reports are also automatically stored in the system for future reference.
