Setting up 2FA for Door Supervisors sharing a single profile

Door Supervisors play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patrons, staff, and the venue. As part of their responsibilities, they are required to complete Daily Records and report any incidents through the Report Support Portal.

To do this, Door Supervisors will need access to the portal.

Below are the steps to help Door Supervisors to log in and get started:

  • Download an Authenticator App
Before logging in, users must download any authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy) on their phone. Please note: SMS verification will not be used in this case - users must use an authenticator app to generate their login codes.
  • Obtain the Setup Key or QR Code
When setting up two-factor authentication (2FA), the Security Company Manager will reach the 2FA setup page. On this page, they should click the link that says:
“What to do if you're using your phone to view this page, or you share your account with other team members.”
This will display a 32-digit setup key, which can be copied and shared with the team. Alternatively, a screenshot of the QR code can be taken and shared for users to scan with their authenticator apps.
  • Important Note: It's important to share the code from this screen immediately, as once users move past it, the code will no longer be visible and can only be reset entirely.

  • The Door Supervisor adds the Key or scans the QR Code to the Authenticator App

    • Open the authenticator app.
    • Select "Enter Setup Key" and manually enter the key. Assign a name like the venue name for easy reference.
    • Alternatively, if a QR code is provided, select "Scan QR Code" to add the account automatically.

  1. The Door Supervisor Logs In to the Portal
Use the email address and password provided by the Company to log in.
  1. The Door Supervisor enters the Authentication Code
When prompted during login, open your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code shown for the venue. This will complete the two-factor authentication (2FA) process.
